FUNCTIONS OF AFCFTA TRADING COMPANY
- Facilitate and aggregate movement of goods between businesses, SMEs and small holder farmers across Africa.
- Working with counterpart trading companies to do trade deals and other mutual business relations.
- Work with the secretariat to assist countries without trading companies to create trading companies of their own or engage directly with the businesses.
- Aggregation for SMEs and small holder farmers, manufactures and producers on the continent
- Encourage import substitution and localization for value addition
- Engage with trading companies across Africa and connect business to business
- Collect data and information from customs across Africa
- Collect data of producers/suppliers
- Collect data on various markets
- Identify potential trade
- Work towards centralizing all custom activity through a single window.
